Our Mission
To provide an accredited education, vocational training, food, healthcare, clothing, family services and most importantly....love to the children who live in "squatter" conditions on the San Genaro Hill of Chorrillos, Lima, Peru.
What We Do
Esperanza y Caridad provides:
- Education: Our fully accredited school, grades1-11 (Peruvian equivalent to the US 1-12).
- Vocational Training: Special clases in English, computer skills, music, sewing and knitting.
- Food: Breakfast and a light lunch is served daily to more than 350 children, plus the volunteer mothers.
- Healthcare: Provider by a volunteer Physician.
- Family services: In house Psychologist
We do this under the governance of our Board of Directors which is made of volunteer members of the local community, as well as many local volunteers, regularly participate in daily activities.
